A major oil & gas operator
The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a Mechanical/Piping background.
Responsible for the successful execution of a project from the start till completion. Confirm technical administrational and SHE requirements expectations of the client within the time allowed by the project schedule within budget and with the required quality.
Ensure the Technical integrity of the project including compliance with the project scope job specification accepted good engineering design and meeting client requirements.
Updates project schedule on a weekly basis or as necessary. Coordinate projects to meet agreed milestones.
Controls project cost by ensuring that engineering design and purchased materials and equipment are compatible with the project scope specifications and estimated cost.
Production of project detailed procedures/documents/work packs and reports.
Interprets project procedures and drawings in particular extensive understanding P&IDs / SLDs / D&IDs / Isoss etc
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Must have extensive experience including a number of years offshore or in an overseas location.
Knowledge of welding and fabrication plus knowledge of pumps & machinery required.
Engineering degree preferred but a great number of years of practical experience in-lieu of degree also considered.
Previous supervisory experience of multi-discipline mixed nationality teams an advantage.
Candidate must be prepared to lead by example and sometimes undertake practical work alongside craftsmen.
Time spent working on installations using ISSOW Permit to Work Mgmt of Change MOC and Guidance on Certification GOC is advantageous.
Any previous experience in the compilation of Workpacks for modifications and small projects on an offshore installation also an advantage.
Offshore medical to UKOOA standard plus UK Offshore Survival HUET are pre-requisites.
